Juniors

We have a thriving Junior section for ages 6 to 16, with players progressing through Cubs (6+), Juniors (8–11), and Badgers (12+) as they grow and develop their skills.
We’re a super-friendly club that prides itself on making new players feel welcome. Our Juniors are a 50/50 mix of boys and girls with a wide range of abilities, supported by a positive environment that builds confidence, teamwork, and hockey skills. Come and give it a try—your first session is free!

Cubs (6+)

Our Club culture
We play the right way
We ask all of our players, Junior and Senior, to play in the ‘right’ way – to be positive, friendly & to support each other.
Our aim is a positive environment in which players of all ages can enjoy hockey, develop their skills, and play competitively to the best of their ability, free from negativity and pressure.
We do want to be competitive but not at all costs. We ask our players to play fairly and to always treat umpires, opponents, coaches and teammates with respect.
Development pathways
Many Evesham & Badsey juniors progress through England Hockey’s Player Pathway and have gone on to represent Worcestershire, the Midlands and England.
In the 2024/25 season Maya Undery, Jake Murgatroyd and Monty Fleetwood were selected to play for Worcestershire.
Past players include Ben Robinson, Dylan Watts-Jones, Alyssa Croft, Philippa Jones, Oliver Jones, Henry Laliberte, Sam Brealey, Ed Brealey and Ben Millar played for Worcestershire with Milly Vitty playing for Warwickshire.
Dan Osborne played regional hockey for five consecutive years and played the Under 16 and Under 18 Futures Cup which is the step for high performing Performance Centre players. In 2020 we were very proud that Tom Clifford was offered an England trial.
