About Our Club

Evesham Hockey Club was formed in 1900. We’re proud of history and nearly 120 years later we’re still going strong enjoying our hockey, developing the club and our players. Evesham & Badsey Hockey Club was formed in 2014 by merging with Badsey Ladies Hockey Club.

We currently run three Senior teams – two Men’s and a Ladies’ side, who both play on Saturdays and train on Tuesday evenings. We also have a Mixed side who play friendly matches.

Our two Men’s league teams play in the VERDE RECREO Hockey League, our Men’s 1st’s in the Marches League 1 and Men’s A’s in the Marches League 2. Our Ladies side plays in the West Clubs Women’s Hockey League.

We have a thriving Junior section for young players aged from 6 to 16 who progress through the Cubs (age 6+) to Juniors (aged 8 to 12) and onto the Badgers (from 11 to 16) as their skills develop.

All of our Junior sides allow our young players to develop their hockey skills in a friendly, supportive environment against other similarly skilled players. When they’re ready they move up through the Juniors and onto the Senior teams.

Badgers sides are mixed of boys and girls and play competitive matches during the season against other local clubs. Our Juniors play in tournaments on a Sunday with other Junior clubs from the region.

All of the Junior sides train on a Sunday morning with the Cubs and Juniors at 9 am to 10 am and Badgers from 9.45 am to 11 am. Training is focused on being good fun for our juniors with a mix of hockey skills, fitness and fun matches.
